Plus, you'll still get 29 mpg on the highway out of it. If those figures aren't quite high enough for you, though, you can always scale back to the 2.4-liter mill to get 31 mpg when you're cruising.
Speaking of the entry engine, the baseline SE trim is well-stocked with all sorts of helpful amenities. You'll get remote keyless entry, power locks and windows, and included electronic stability control for a little more grip on the road.
If you've got a few regular passengers, you might be leaning toward the crossover segment. However, you certainly don't have to go down that road. With the Avenger's spacious interior and the added bonus of having 60/40 rear folding seats, you can accommodate everyone comfortably in a fun to drive sedan.
