No matter what vehicle you drive, whether it's a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram, whether it's big or small, a truck or car, we here at Cortland Chrysler Dodge Jeep take it as our duty to keep you and those in your passenger seats as safe as we possibly can. Touting safety awards here on the blog is just one of many ways we do it; another way is offering out services when a vehicle you drive is recalled. Unfortunately, today we're here regarding just that.
Chrysler has announced a recall for 1.2 million Ram vehicles, covering several models and years. The models affected are as follows: the Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks from the 2003-2008 model years; the 2500 and 3500 pickups and chassis cabs from the 2008-2012 model years; the 1500 4x4 Mega Cabs from the 2008 model year; finally, the 4500 and 5500 4x4 chassis cabs from the 2008-2012 model years.
If you or someone in your household drives a Ram as described above, please read on.
The problem with these models is that the steering-system tie rods might have become misaligned during the assembly of the vehicle or during steering-system service. This can lead to loss of steering control, increasing risk of accident.
