Adding one more punch line that applies to the old cliché, "It's funny 'cause it's true", comedian Owen Weber put together a spoof of RAM truck commercials. While we might normally have reservations about someone taking shots at our bread and butter, this parody is just too perfect to be taken the wrong way.
The "commercial" features your standard footage of heavy duty trucks tackling heavy duty jobs. There's a grizzly sounding narrator, and the block lettering is in full force assaulting your screen. Fits the bill for a perfect pickup ad, right? Except the message isn't about hauling tree trunks out of river beds; it's about hauling "rusty metal futons" and "massive wooden dressers" because "It's Movin' Season."1
Well, our Cortland Chrysler Jeep RAM Dodge staff really got a kick out of it and that's obviously what Weber was going for. At the same time, the clip also, unintentionally, highlights the versatility of RAM trucks.
Of course you purchase a capable vehicle so you can take on tough jobs when you need to. However, many of us spend an awful lot of time carting yard work or sports equipment or even science experiments around, too. But who's to say that you need to wear a hardhat to work to put a RAM 1500 to use? They can be helpful for all sorts of projects, even when you're not maxing-out your payload.
So whether you need a vehicle that's capable of hauling gravel or just a new washing machine, you might consider driving a new RAM. Stop by our Cortland, NY dealership anytime and our sales staff would be happy to show you around.
