For example, "Since 1941" is stamped in the current Wrangler model's passenger grab bar and the steering wheel of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Lead designer for the Wrangler model, Mark Allen, boasts, "There [are] these little messages. We're quite proud of our brand and its very humble beginnings. Today's Wrangler - it's obvious to me, and to Jeep people, it looks like our very first product. The lineage is clear. Not many people can do that." He also adds, "I can't imagine putting the Model T on a [Ford] Taurus."1
